The main object of this charitable organisation is to promote charitable activities as outlined in the Declaration of Trust. There is a heavy concentration of the Waswahili comunity in the inner city, and in the outer London areas. There are also some who are living in regions across the United Kingdom.
It is our aim and objective to promote community services to our people. So far we are self-financing, and this has not enable us to finance our various projects.
Also presently, all our activities are run by the volunteers. This is to say that they are making a significant contribution to the development of our organisation. They put their experience, knowledge and skill at the disposal of this organisation.
In helping this organisation to provide community services, they also benefit the whole community in general. These volunteers, most of whom are young people add a very possitive contribution to this organisation.
In this sense The W.C.T. as service providers, are encouriging this form of cotribution. The Trustees, for example, acknowledges that the last two events, namely Idd-ul-Fitr, and Idd-ul-Hajj were very successful, due to a good contribution from our volunteers, and most of whom are women.
The organistion consists of people, who are economically and socially deprived. We also have a great proportion of families from a single parent with small children. Presently, we have identified the following services, given the availability of resources:
| Sponsorship of education for disadvantaged children in Kenya |
|---|
We appeal for sponsorship of education for children from poor and those from disadvantaged families. For detail information on sponsorship please get in touch with us.
We also appeal for donation for our organisation. Please make generous contribution. The Bank details are as follow:
